Air Duct Cleaning

Scope, pricing boundaries, and what air duct cleaning does not mean.

Do I need to count every vent before scheduling?

No. Better Air Spokane's air duct pricing is based on total home square footage, not a customer-counted vent total.

What is included with air duct cleaning?

The current air duct cleaning page includes supply vents, return vents, trunk lines and connected ductwork where accessible, and accessible furnace/blower-area components within the duct-cleaning scope. It does not imply mechanical HVAC service or repairs.

How often should air ducts actually be cleaned?

Better Air does not push duct cleaning on every home every few years. With a high-quality, well-sealed furnace filter setup, many homes may only need duct cleaning roughly every 10-15 years.

Do I need duct cleaning every 3 to 5 years?

Not automatically. A shorter interval may make sense after remodeling dust, pests, heavy visible debris, disconnected or dirty returns, filter bypass, or unusual system conditions. If the system is well filtered and there are no obvious concerns, a longer interval may make more sense.

What if I already use a good furnace filter?

A good filter helps most when it fits well and air is not bypassing it. That does not mean duct cleaning is never needed, but it can reduce how often cleaning makes sense.

What if I had remodeling dust, pests, or debris in the ducts?

Those are good reasons to ask questions before waiting years. Construction dust, mouse droppings or other pest evidence, heavy visible debris, dirty returns, and filter bypass can all change whether duct cleaning is worth considering.

What can change the air duct cleaning quote?

Homes over 4,000 square feet should contact Better Air Spokane before booking. Additional furnaces, if present, are priced separately. If public square footage records are inaccurate, the square footage may need confirmation before scheduling.

Can duct cleaning help with dust or allergies?

Air duct cleaning can remove built-up dust and debris from accessible ductwork, but it is not a medical service and does not promise symptom relief.

Is this full HVAC service?

No. Air duct cleaning does not mean burner cleaning, heat exchanger inspection, gas work, HVAC diagnostics, HVAC repair, or full furnace service.

Dryer Vent Cleaning

Plain answers about dryer vent pricing, signs to check, and service limits.

Can dryer vent cleaning be booked by itself?

Yes. Dryer vent cleaning is listed at $295 as a standalone service and $145 as an add-on to air duct cleaning.

What are common signs a dryer vent may need cleaning?

Longer dry times, weak exterior airflow, exterior flap movement issues, visible lint buildup, or an unusually warm laundry area can be reasons to check the vent path.

Will dryer vent cleaning remove every safety risk?

No. Dryer vent cleaning is positioned around removing lint buildup and supporting proper airflow where accessible. It is not a promise that every risk is removed.

Will you take the dryer apart or repair it?

No. Dryer vent cleaning is limited to the dryer connection, transition area, and vent line to the exterior where accessible. It does not include taking apart or repairing the dryer appliance.

Pricing and Scheduling

Prices, quote boundaries, and when to call before scheduling.

What are the current air duct cleaning prices?

Current air duct pricing is $595 for homes less than 2,000 square feet, $745 for 2,000-3,000 square feet, $895 for 3,000-4,000 square feet, and contact for quote over 4,000 square feet.

Can I schedule online without waiting for a quote?

For most homes that fit the price table, yes. Use the Schedule page for general scheduling, air duct cleaning, or dryer vent cleaning. Call or text first if your home is over 4,000 square feet, has more than one furnace, or needs confirmation.

Will the price change after I book?

The price table is meant to avoid surprises. Price confirmation may be needed if the home is over 4,000 square feet, has more than one furnace, public square footage records are inaccurate, or the setup does not match the listed service assumptions.

What if my home has more than one furnace?

Additional furnaces, if present, are listed at $225. Call or text first if you are unsure how your system should be priced.

Sanitizer and Benefect

Plain wording without health promises.

Is Benefect included with air duct cleaning?

Yes. Benefect sanitizer is included with air duct cleaning. Better Air describes it conservatively and does not use it to promise health outcomes.

What should I expect from Benefect?

Expect factual, limited wording. Benefect is part of the air duct cleaning service, but Better Air does not promise symptom relief or medical outcomes.

Is Benefect part of dryer vent cleaning?

The Benefect note applies to air duct cleaning. Ask before expecting sanitizer with a dryer vent cleaning appointment.

Filters and Cabinet Upgrades

Helpful filter guidance without guessing at details that are not listed yet.

Can a better filter setup reduce how often ducts need cleaning?

It can. A high-quality, well-sealed filter setup can reduce dust getting into the system. Better Air would rather explain that clearly than push duct cleaning when it may not be needed.

Will there be filter replacement or cabinet upgrade content?

Yes, filter replacement and cabinet-upgrade information is expected to be added later. For now, call or text for current guidance instead of assuming details that are not listed on the site yet.

Can I ask about filters before that page exists?

Yes. Call or text 509-309-0939 for current guidance on filter questions or possible cabinet upgrades.

Service Area

Washington-focused service copy with Idaho excluded.

Does Better Air Spokane serve Idaho?

Better Air Spokane does not serve Idaho.

What service areas are confirmed on the website?

Better Air Spokane serves Spokane and nearby Washington areas, but does not serve Idaho. Ask directly if you are outside Spokane and want to confirm whether your address is covered.

Claims and Expectations

Clear boundaries, no scare tactics, no overpromising.

Will duct cleaning solve every dust or comfort issue?

No. Duct cleaning can remove built-up dust and debris from accessible ductwork, but dust and comfort issues can also come from filtration, return leaks, home sealing, pets, remodeling, or normal living conditions.

Are the before-and-after sections using stock images?

No. Photo areas will use real photos from completed Better Air Spokane jobs, not stock or staged examples.

Why does Better Air avoid scare tactics?

Because homeowners deserve clear limits. If Better Air cannot support a claim clearly, it should not be part of the sales pitch.

Still Deciding What to Book?

Start with the price table, compare the two main services, or call/text 509-309-0939 if the setup needs confirmation.
